California Bureau of Real Estate v. The Department of Real Estate

We have received numerous inquiries as to whether the Bureau of Real Estate is becoming The Department of Real Estate. There is a Senate bill currently pending before the California legislature, which would remove the Bureau of Real Estate from the Department of Consumer Affairs and make it a department within the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency. If that bill passes, the Bureau will return to the name, Department of Real Estate. The bill requires a majority vote, which has not yet occurred.
